Mr. Dupont, please take a bow

I know this is a draft watch blog and it's focus is on the future of the Bruins, not the present. But, if you want to know what Hockey Hall of Fame writing chops are, just take a look at this article Boston Globe legend Kevin Paul Dupont wrote on Mark Recchi today.

http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/bruins/articles/2010/05/03/recchis_good_stretch_has_him_thinking_of_extended_stay/?page=full

This is the kind of hockey writing that inspired me to get out of the stands and try to do the same kind of thing.

Just a fantastic and moving story about the one player on the Boston roster who gets more than anyone what it takes to be a champion and backs it up with action every night.

I told KPD as much, as I have had the honor and privilege of getting to know him, and now I share one of his best pieces with you so you don't miss it.

You don't have to agree with everything Dupont says or writes, but you should at least grudgingly admit that this is a fabulous story.
