Congratulations to the Moncton Wildcats, who defeated the St. John Sea Dogs tonight by a 7-4 score to win the President's Cup and a secure a berth to the Memorial Cup in Brandon, Manitoba.
It was the first time two teams from New Brunswick squared off in the QMJHL's championship series and the Wildcats were a favored club for the playoffs.
And to think-- they did it without the services of a certain Russian player...oooh, what's that guy's name?
