The Kid is Hot Tonite

My Kirk's Call weekly column devoted to Boston Bruins prospects is back over at the New England Hockey Journal website, and the focus is on AHL Rookie of the Month Jamie Arniel, who scored seven goals and 12 points after posting just three helpers in all of October.

Arniel deserves credit for overcoming a serious off-ice incident after Boston drafted him, and winning over Providence head coach Rob Murray, who doesn't play around when it comes to talented underachievers.

The nephew of former Winnipeg Jet/Buffalo Sabre/Boston Bruin Scott Arniel has all the tools and hockey sense to be an effective two-way forward in the NHL, and his AHL production is encouraging.
