Thanks for the kind words, guys. It was a long season to get to this point, but things worked out just about as well as any Bruins fan could have hoped, given how much the Oilers went into the tank this season.
I think there is no chance the Bruins go D-- Chiarelli was speaking in definitive terms between Seguin and Hall in the conference call last night, so I don't see any scenario in which the Bruins move down unless it's a mind-boggling overpayment from some other team. And even then...players like these are so appealing because of their low-cost on entry-level contracts. Add either one to an already playoff-caliber lineup and it makes a big difference. Bring in a veteran player and your cap hit is going to go way up.
Anyway- keep reading, because the blog is just getting going. World Under-18s are about to get underway and the NHL Combine next month. Stay tuned!
I am an NHL/Boston Bruins, New Jersey Devils and Prospects writer for the New England Hockey Journal and New York Hockey Journal. I have been with NEHJ since 2000 and with NYHJ since its inception in December 2010
Kudos to the fantastic job you've been handing us fellow Bruins fans, Kirk! Faith rewarded!
ReplyDeleteNice work Kirk! I guess PC can't screw this pick up, huh? Unless he takes a D of course, or trades the pick!
