Yes, my friends- I'll be on Level 9 on Thursday at the TD Garden to see the B's-Leafs, and then driving all over the tri-state area (Mass-NH-RI) to catch the New England Prep School Ice Hockey Association (NEPSIHA) playoffs, EJHL playoffs and Providence Bruins this weekend.
It's the kind of schedule and mileage that would do a legitimate hockey scout justice.
I did this trip last year and had a great time, watching Chris Kreider do his thing, and hoping for more of the same from Kevin Hayes, Charlie Coyle and Brian Billett, not to mention some of the other New England kids who will probably picked later on.
Oh, and Providence will be a nice bonus, too. Yannick Riendeau is back in action- want to see how he looks at the AHL level.
So, looking forward to seeing most of the area's top draft eligibles in action prior to the draft. That June New England Hockey Journal draft issue will be here before I know it- never too late to get started!
